What does Aru Bumi do?
Integral Human Development (IHD) for the Orang Asli community, this includes:
Create awareness among Catholics and others in our society about Orang Asli
Regular visits to foster solidarity with Orang Asli
Education (Alternative Education Program)
Catechism Classes
Learn from them their language, customs, way of life, culture, values, joys & sorrows, dreams
Respond to their needs
Who are the Orang Asli
Indigenous minority people of Peninsular Malaysia, There are a minority group making up less than 0.5% of the population.
not a homogenous people there are various ethnic groups
Each has its own language and culture, and perceives itself as different from the others.
